{Release Date:} April 16, 2013
{Copyright:} Gallery Books 2013
{Pages:}219
{Description:} A charming British Playboy. A girl determined to finally live. And a secret liaison revealed in all too vivid color. Book two in the NYT Bestselling series.

Escaping a cheating ex, finance whiz Sara Dillon's moved to New York City and is looking for excitement without a lot of strings attached. So meeting the irresistible, sexy Brit at a dance club should have meant nothing more than a night's fun. But the manner--and speed--with which he melts her inhibitions turns him from a one-time hookup and into her Beautiful Stranger.

The whole city knows Max Stella loves women, not that he's ever found one he particularly wants to keep around. Despite pulling in plenty with his Wall Street bad boy charm, it's not until Sara--and the wild photos she lets him take of her--that he starts wondering if there's someone for him outside of the bedroom.

Hooking up in places where anybody could catch them, the only thing scarier for Sara than getting caught in public is having Max get too close in private.

{Alesha's Thoughts:}

This is book number two in the series by Christina Lauren. I absolutely love it!
Let me first off start by saying how much I wholly adore it when an author writes about love from a man's point of view. I love love love this!

This book, though similar to Beautiful Bastard yet drastically different, gives you the back and forth, alternating chapters between the boy and the girl.

The man, Max Stella, is a very professional, successful British man in New York City and is ironically the old flat mate to Bennett Ryan (the main character in Beautiful Bastard, book #1). Max lays eyes on a hot number in a club and ends up having sex with her in a dark corner above the club the same night. After dozens of public escapades he ends up falling in love with the girl from the club. Though he's known throughout New York as being "The man with many women", he finds himself having to defend his honor and prove himself to a girl he just met but can't live without.

(I have to say, as funny as this sounds, since Max is British and has the mouth of a sailor yet uses words like "shag", I had a hard time keeping his voice straight. I found myself switching from Gordon Ramsey to Mike Myers to the guy that plays Ren on Pretty Little Liars!)

Enter hot number from the club. Sara Dillon, Chloe's best friend from the Chicago firm, moves to New York City when Ryan Media opens an office in the big apple. Having just ended a seven year commitment with Illinois's sluttiest candidate, she goes out to a club with Chloe and another friend upon arriving in New York and finds herself face to face with a beautiful stranger. This stranger ends up being Max Stella, one of New York's hottest tickets. Though she fights it tooth and nail, in the end she inevitably ends up falling in love with Max without even trying. Along the journey she discovers that maybe she isn't the girl she once thought she was. It's a book of transformation for both characters.

This book is amazing in that it gives you a totally wild side of a very timid girl while revealing a very tame side to a rather "assumed-to-be" rambunctious guy. It has a great story line that keeps you hooked and definitely does a thing or two to your libido!

Alesha's Review:
10 out of 10!

I would highly recommend reading Beautiful Bastard before I pick this one up though. The characters from BB pave the way for BS. :)
